Hi Guys,

 

The “08 contest season seems to be rolling along very well. The contestant attendance out here in the west, however is somewhat lacking when compared to last year. Most likely, the main contributor is the current price of transportation combined with the distance to the ’08 Championships in Sarasota, Florida.

 

Those of you from the West Coast who have qualified and would like to go to Florida in October might want to contact Adam Gelbart in Los Angeles. He has a large truck and is willing to transport your planes and gear, if you will help with the fuel cost for the truck. Contact Adam at adam.gelbart@verizon.net and work out a deal with him. This may certainly help resolve your model shipping issues.

 

Paul Gain sent us the results of his Mint Julep qualifier, and there was certainly no shortage of contestants there! Paul reported there were over forty fliers in the Advanced Event alone! We are glad to hear it and hope the East Coast is enjoying large turnouts at all their meets. Well done Paul.

 

As a final thought, all you CD’s please be sure to send your results to Carolyn as quickly as possible following the conclusion of your contest. She will use this information to notify the folks who have qualified for Florida. Thanks guys.
